Spirit of Hungary had slightly better winds today than expected. Progress is slow but steady. Conditions will be tricky this morning with very light winds, however this afternoon, sea breeze are expected to improve pace for the final miles into the finish in Barcelona.

Spirit of Hungary is running out of W’ly component wind that have pushed them along the Spanish coast today. Winds will trend much lighter now on the route ahead of them. The best chances for usable breeze will be relatively close to the Spanish coast where overnight land breezes and daytime sea breeze will produce patchy and light winds.

Light winds have made Spirit of Hungary’s entry into the Mediterranean rather slow. However W’ly winds are forecast to build today, which will allow them to accelerate south of Spain. Favorable winds are expected to continue through most of Monday, however some lighter conditions may be encountered again just before the finish in Barcelona.
