La alta presión situada al sureste de Nueva Zelanda continúa dejando un pasillo muy estrecho justo al norte del límite del área de exclusión para el We Are Water y el One Planet, One Ocean & Pharmaton. El resto de la flota en activo tiene los fuertes vientos típicos del Gran Sur, con grandes olas.

00Z MONDAY (23-FEB-2015):
1) Low (972mb) near 57S/140E, with a cold front wrapping from the low to
Tasmania. Strong N flow will extend across the southern Tasman Sea to
just south and west of Auckland Island.
2) The low pressure that was over NZ will more or less dissipate.
3) A complex multi-center high pressure (1035mb) east and southeast of
the Chatham Islands will have a peak center near 49S/168W. A ridge
will extend west to south of NZís South Island. Light winds will
extend south to 51S south of the high and ridge.
4) A large low pressure (980mb) near 58S/130W with a cold front wrapping
to 54S/121W to 46S/128W. A core of gale force winds is wrapping around
the northwest quadrant of the low to 49S.
5) A high pressure (1021mb) will lie west to east along 38S from 125W to
the Chilean coast. Generally moderate to fresh Wíly winds between 54S
and 44S south of the ridge and north of the storm track to the south
of the Ice Exclusion boundary.
6) Low pressure (974mb) will be near 58S/80W with strong Wílies north of
the low to 50S and extending east to Cape Horn.

00Z TUESDAY (24-FEB-2015):
1) Low (962mb) near 64S/156W with a front wrapping out of the low to
60S/171E to 46S/160E to 37S/153E. East of the front, Fresh N/NNW winds
to south/southwest of NZ and then east to 180E. West of the front,
winds shift SW, but further west they are moderate to fresh Wíly north
of 53S west to a ridge along 140E.
2) High pressure (1030mb) southeast of the Chatham islands between 175W
and 160W with light winds extending south to 52S.
3) A deep southern ocean low (966mb) near 55S/136W with storm force winds
and massive ocean swells in the northwestern quadrant of the low from
150W to 137W and north to 48S.
4) A second, weaker low (970mb) near 60S/121W. Strong W/NW winds north of
the low. A cold front from 60S/107W to 48S/112W to 40S/125W.
5) Broad high pressure (1022mb) west of Chile, with light and variable
wind extending to 49S at 90W.
6) A ridge will extend south of the high along 90W.
7) A broad flow of fresh to near Gale Force winds will be blowing into
the waters west and south of Cape Horn.

00Z WEDNESDAY (25-FEB-2015):
1) High pressure (1024mb) is centered near 46S/155E, with aridge building
south of NZ between Stewart Island and Auckland Island.
2) A sharp cold front is passing east of NZ from 55S/179W to 47S/176E to
Wellington. A push of strong Sílies is behind this front, but short-
lived as the Tasman Sea high pressure builds quickly east.
3) High pressure (1024mb) is near 45S/154W, with a ridge running west of
the high along 47S.
4) A very large and strong Southern Ocean low pressure (970mb) will be
centered near 51S/127W. A broad, cyclonic wind field around this low
will storm force winds extending out 150nm and Gale force winds 400nm
to the west and north. A cold front will wrap out of the low to
51S/119W to 43S/121W to 37S/129W.
5) High pressure (1029mb) off the Chilean coast near 45S/82W. South of
the low, fresh NW winds will spread from 100W to Cape Horn.
