Bulletin météo du 9 mars

Le leader de la flotte Cheminées Poujoulat n’a fait qu’une bouchée des alizés de l’Atlantique Sud et se rapproche à grands pas de l’équateur. Bien que le Pot au noir est positionné plus sud et typiquement moins actif à cette époque de l’année, il lui faudra néanmoins progresser dans des vents légers et des conditions variables le temps de la transition vers les alizés de l’Atlantique Nord.
Neutrogena et GAES Centros Auditivos continuent de travailler leur progression vers les alizés, mais les conditions restent volages. Un couloir clair d’alizés ne s’établit qu’au nord des 25° Sud. 
We Are Water et One Planet, One Ocean & Pharmaton en ont terminé avec le cap Horn. Ils profitent d’un solide flux d’ouest-nord-ouest pour gagner rapidement dans l’est et passer au sud-est des Falkland. 
Renault Captur progresse actuellement dans des vents d’ouest maniables, mais une dépression se développant rapidement est attendue et pourrait lui apporter des vents tempétueux dans son approche vers le cap Horn.
Spirit of Hungary bénéficie à présent d’un flux de sud-ouest qui s’établit pour lui permettre, dans les prochains jours, de vite tracer sa route à l’est en bordure de zone d’exclusion des glaces.

00Z MONDAY (09-MAR-2015):
1) High pressure (1031mb) centered near 49N/148W. A broad W/SW flow
between the high and Ice Exclusion Boundary.
2) The W/SW flow will extend to 115W where it transition into cyclonic
circulation around a strong South Pacific storm (981mb) near 47S/100W.
3) Gale to Storm Force cyclonic winds around the west, north, and east
portions of this low between 108W and 85W.
4) A second low (979mb) near 57S/105W. W/NW winds will extend north of
this low to a col area of light winds along 51S.
5) A weak ridge will be west of Patagonia, while low pressure (971mb) is
near 63S/67W. A strong flow of SW winds across Patagonia, Cape Horn
and across to the Falkland Islands.
6) High pressure (1019mb) will be near 41S/58W. A second high (1023mb)
near 35S/38W. Light winds will extend from 42W to 34W along 35S in the
vicinity of this high.
7) North of the high, E winds are expected, stronger west of 30W. A light
patch will be between 28S and 20S west of 30W.
8) North of 20S, solid E ly trades are expected all along the eastern
Brazilian coast and east to 25W.
9) The Atlantic doldrums are seasonally displaced to the south with
light winds starting around 5S.

00Z TUESDAY (10-MAR-2015):
1) Low pressure (962mb) near 60S/110W. A large, strong wind field around
this low with SW winds back to 140W at 53S. North of the low strong
W lies from 115W to 85W. Steady W lies are generally north of 55S.
2) A deep low (951mb) near 56S/77W will have an intense wind field of
storm force winds and possibly hurricane force gusts around it as it
moves west then south of Cape Horn. Seas will increase and could
approach 13m. The wind field is relatively compact.
3) Low pressure (968mb) near 61S/33W.
4) A high pressure (1022mb) will be stretched from 42S/52W to 34S/30W to
35S/17W. A 1-2 degree wide zone of light and variable will be centered
on the elongated high pressure.
5) There will be a broad flow of SW winds between the elongated high
pressure and the low pressure south of South Georgia Island.
6) North of the high pressure, E/NE trade winds will be developing north
of about 33S.
7) A low pressure (1007mb) will be developing off the southern Brazilian
coast near 26S/46W. Fresh NE winds east of the low center to 37W.
8) Otherwise, NE/E trade winds veer E then E/SE with distance north from
30S to 03S.
9) The doldrums will be about 1-2 degrees latitude wide between centered
more or less on the Equator. Moderate NE trade winds north of the
doldrums.
