La ducha

Aleix Gelabert (One Planet, One Ocean & Pharmaton)
Yo ya me he duchado".

Indoor humidity, almost 100%

Guillermo Altadill (Neutrogena):

"The inside of the boat reminds me more of a neighbourhood courtyard with clothes hanging, than a sophisticated carbon machine which is sailing around the world. Socks, thermal clothing and underwear are hanging from unimaginable places, in an impossible attempt to get them dry! Indoor humidity is almost 100% and the socks I hung up last week when passing the Canary Islands remain the same or wetter, than the first day I hung them up!

A visit to the salon

As those of you who followed our somewhat busy period before the start of the race in Barcelona will know, the demands of the joblist didn’t leave much time for life’s little luxuries. I had imagined long walks on the beach, hand in hand with my girlfriend or gently perusing the endless sights and sounds of a bustling city like Barcelona after the relative calm of my home in Lorient. It was not to be however, and one thing that got forgotten in the mayhem was a proper haircut. Not to impress the passing gulls or fabled sexy sea maidens but rather a practical necessity given that I am joining the ranks of the poor and unwashed for this no frills race around the globe.

Nandor Fa's log

23rd March, 08 50 UT,
The sky was full of stars during the night, and there were only a few little clouds that disappeared soon. We were sailing well, in the right direction. By dawn it became quite cloudy, with broad and heavy showers here and there, which wouldn’t have been a problem if it hasn’t affected the wind. In the second half of the night we couldn’t progress the way we should have if the expected wind would have blown. We were tending more to the North, which is good in general, but we should rather keep the 50° to follow the routing if we’d like to arrive at the desired position a few days later.
