We are 10 years old!
To the 50 best skippers in the world who have taken part;
To more than 100 sponsors who have put their trust in the incredible communication potential of transoceanic Racing;
To the millions of fans who have followed us, and who have helped us to the fourth edition of the regatta stronger than ever and with a bigger reach than ever!
Over the past 10 years a sporting event which inspires, educate, and create jobs has been created. The achievements along the way have been many and we continue to strive for more, with more sport, more science and more citizen participation than ever. We will say it again: it is thanks to you.
We are now working at full throttle on the fourth edition, with a brand-new format which will make the racing more exciting than ever. The Barcelona World Race was the first double-handed round the world regatta and now it will be the first with two legs, linking Europe to the Antipodes. Sydney, the sailing capital of the southern hemisphere will join forces with Barcelona to offer both sailors and sailing fans a brand-new transoceanic racing model, which will take a unique spot on the international racing calendar.
The countdown has begun towards 12th January 2019. We hope you will all join us as the Barcelona World Race makes history again.
Join us for more power, more resilience, more strategy and more adventure out on the world’s oceans.
