Just the Ticket
As winds drop away ro become light over the weekend, Nandor Fa and Conrad Colman are back into the Mediterranean, ready to take on the last stretch of the Barcelona World Race.
At 0320hrs UTC this Friday morning the Hungarian flagged IMOCA 60 of Nandor Fa and Conrad Colman sailed back into the Mediterranean Sea, passing the Pillars of Hercules - a big, big moment for the race's duo which had never raced together at all prior to the start back on December 31st.
They have made a decent passage through the Straits and have curved NE towards the Spanish coast where one imagines they will start to work the coastal thermal breezes. After the stresses of the last three months, considering how far they have come, these will be enjoyable times to savour for Nandor and Conrad. Both are ready to finish their Barcelona World Race and move on their own projects, but a final weekend in the Med, in light winds and sunshine will be just the ticket. On current meteo predictions they are due back in BCN on the night between Monday and Tuesday, ready for Tuesday's gala prizegiving!
