Didac Costa in the middle of the Pacific
The only Spanish sailor in the Vendée Globe faces the passage of Hornos having overcome the harshest weather conditions and all kinds of damages
When Didac sailed south of New Zealand, he said: "A difficult week has ended, the depression in South Australia was very hard for both the boat and me. Boat flaws and the accumulated fatigue cause high price for every mile traveled. The problem with autopilot has been the worst. You can easily imagine how important automatic pilots are for a solo sailor.”
Today Didac sails in the middle of the Pacific Ocean in he 15th position. His next challenge is Cape Horn, 3,000 miles ahead.
