Following the Barcelona World Race finishes in Barcelona

The finish program will be streamed live on this website.

1. Half an hour before the boat crosses the finish line, a live broadcast will begin transmitting from the special arrivals area in the Portal de la Pau which is opposite the iconic monument to Columbus. There the boat will dock and the welcome reception will take place: the arrivals pontoon, the stage for the reception and the giant screens for the broadcast are all located here. (see map)

2. The finish line

The finish line is set off the W Hotel and will be defined as the transit of the mast of the boat Far Barcelona, which will be anchored at 41 º 22.11 'N - 2 ° 12.50' E and a beacon/mark located at 41 º 22.11 'N - 2 ° 11.57' E. The line has a length of 0.7 nautical miles.

3. As the boat crosses the finish line, the race committee measurers will get on board for checks that the race rules specify: check the seals in the engines, the stamps of the sails, safety, equipment etc.

4. The boat will enter the harbor basin and begin its welcome passage to the Rambla de Mar.

The sirens will welcome them.

5. The boat will come close to the Rambla de Mar, where the Mayor of Barcelona will return the symbolic mooring lines they were presented with on the day of departure.

6. The yacht will dock at the Portal de la Pau, in the pontoon specially designed to receive them. The skippers will make their first statements and will uncork the traditional champagne.

7. The skippers will then disembark and take their first steps on land onto the stage of Portal de la Pau, where they will be received by the mayor who will present them the olive wreath and will welcome them. The skippers say a few words. .

8. Then the skippers are directed to the building of the Port Authority of Barcelona, next to the stage, where a press conference will be held.
