The boat

Jean Le Cam and Bruno García will sail on Mike Golding's former Ecover 3. This is an Owen Clarke design model, launched in 2007 which Mike was not able to finish the last Vendée Globe 2008/09 with, due to the mast breaking as he was leading the regatta. This yacht has tried and tested performance levels, which the French-Spanish pair will submit to an intensive preparation programme.
