Official Notice Board
The Official Board is the place where all official race document are made available.
It include in particular the Notice of Race, the Race Instructions as well as information about the theorical routes and the answers of the Race Management to questions raised by the teams.
Notice of Race:
This is the document which details the most relevant aspects of the regatta.
The Basics:
- General schedule (In particular the starting date)
- The procedure to follow on the start line
- Information about the Organiser
- Official Language
- The crew
- The boat
- The course
- The prizes
- The official rules to be applied: OSR; Class Rules, International Rules, RIPAM rules of the road... Etc.
The Notice of Race can be considered as a 'contract' between entrant and organiser. The text may undergo subtle changes, but without fundamentally changing the most significant characteristics of the event.
Race Instructions:
This is the document which allows the correct application of the Notice of Race and gives the entrants the details of the Race Rules. Such as:
- The boat
- The course
- Start time
- Procedure on the starting line
- Rules to be adhered to during the competition.
- Procedure at safety gate
- Land-sea communications protocol
- Description of the finishing line
- Etc.
The Race Instructions may be changed up until the start under 'modifications'
