I've found them! from Hugo Boss

Half way through my watch, and after 1.5 hours trimming and driving I sit down for a cup of tea. Pretty much our only luxury on board, and a nice peaceful moment before you do the rest of t6he three hours. Through the window I can see another cloud line in front of us. We have gone through quite a few today, so no big deal?

The answer is –yes, BIG deal, as moments later we are on our side with the gunnels in the water, the rudder cavitating, and the main flapping. Cup of tea  chucked in the bilge, easy sails, get the boat back on course and get everything set up properly again for this stronger wind. This clearly marks the end of our easy flat water, moderate breeze , Mediterranean  sailing conditions of the last four days.

From now on we are bouncing into the waves, heeled 25 degrees, typing is a nightmare, pouring a cup of tea is a good way of getting your hands burned, and a toilet visit on the rather unstable bucket a very risky undertaking. I guess we just have to count ourselves lucky that we have come this far without these more normal trade wind conditions, and with our batteries charged and spirits high that is the take we have on it. Another 24 hours further, another day closer to the finish, just enjoy the sailing and keep chipping away at the miles. At least with the increased winds we are two knots faster!
