Gibraltar, huge amounts of shipping in a very small space

What a great podium of boats. Congratulations to all of them. We are also closing the miles to the final stretch, The Mediterranean.

This will be difficult with many transitions that will require efficient sail changes to avoid floating.
Gibraltar closes every hour and is looking much better than the difficult upwind conditions that those before us have endured. Firsat though we must get there and in doing that we need to avoid the numerous ships that have suddenly appeared on this stretch of water. It is a gentle warm up to the intense Gibraltar Straits with its huge amounts of
shipping in a very small space.
